Mehendi

A wedding day,of a friend of yours,
I was unsure why you needed
to see me so sudden, but heeded
to your request, for I always do.

Driving me to the mall,
I could see your fresh faced glee,
You could not supress your smile,
and I was as giddy to see,
you happy this way.

As I settled down,
facing this love-sick clown
You raised your hand to my face,
there it was,
intricately hidden,showing no one,
within earthy aroma of colour,
of mehendi,my name,Rohan.

You said women hide their lover's name,
while putting mehendi,a usual game,
I almost shed a fear,
but avoided it in fear,
of being teased by you later...

I always hold your hand,tightly,
but that day I held it,rightly.
