Barefoot in the Sand

Sitting in the car,
two of us...staring,
out into the open sea,
Soft music,Red wine,
Like us,a magical pairing.

I softly touched your hand,
You held mine to your cheek,
feeling the softness,
suggesting to my waking subconscious,
and making me tenderly weak.

Kissing your temple with my lips,
feel on my neck of your fingertips,
It brought us close...bliss,
the fever rose...from this,
It started..with a Kiss.

Awake in an unknown magic land,
stolen glances,holding hands,
any excuse to brush against your body...God sent,
a whiff of your hair...fragrant,
walking barefoot in the midnight sand.

We did embarass the Moon that night,
when we sat together,holding tight,
it pulled a cloud to cover its face,
making the sea gather pace,
washing the shore with all its might.

Seeing the playful truant moon,
picking up a favourite distant tune,
We danced together,you twirled around,
your mellifluous laughter,I knew that I had found,
the one..to whom I'd be kneeling soon.

Morning Sun,did brightly soar and blind,
Languid rain,did mildly pour..in kind,
making plans for the morn,
a couple newly born,
making love,on the shore..entwined.
