Rebel without a cause

Maybe I was switched at birth,
maybe it was celestial mirth,
But I am an outcast,
not merely as I was born last,
Instead because of my flaws,
What can I say?..Rebel without a cause!

I shudnt have grabbed Uncle's wooden leg,
and cried out 'timber'!!
I shudnt have super-glued grandpa's dentures,
Or given granny the finger,
But can I help it if am enraged,
Being civil with my family, feeling encaged!

All my dad does is holler,
seeking opportunities to grab my collar,
All my mother does is sigh,
Her time a senseless waste,
in trying to refine my taste.

My brothers are like the two moons of Jupiter,
Bringing light from opposing sides,
like lovers in Jupiter who may be switching loyalties,
not knowing which to follow,
advice and wisdom imparted insensibly,
leaving the head pained and hollow!

My girl,ah!she takes all my ills,
takes all my money and gifts too,
and leaves me barren,
making me wonder,
if celibacy will be a blunder.

At school never was the smartest,
smart ass, yes, that I was plenty,
no wonder while others,I found,
were world reknowned,
I passed school at the prodigial age of twenty.

AT work,age old problem,
bad pay and the work lousy,
is it my fault on a summers day,
listening to the symphony of keyboards,
one gets a trifle drowsy?

I cant hep being what I am,
I am not one to take pause,
I am life's bastion of underachieving,
A rebel without a cause.
